Northeastern State University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
Current Status
NSU has been accredited by HLC since 1922.
The university’s most recent comprehensive evaluation occurred on October 18 and 19, 2021. HLC reaffirmed NSU’s accreditation on January 14, 2022.
NSU is preparing for its 2026 Mid-Cycle Assurance Review. The next comprehensive evaluation is scheduled for 2031–2032.
