Higher Learning Commission Accreditation

On January 14, 2022, the Higher Learning Commission, a regional accrediting agency, reaffirmed Northeastern State University’s institutional accreditation for another 10 years, based on a comprehensive site visit that occurred October 18-19, 2021.

The next visit will occur in 2031-32.

More than 100 NSU faculty and staff were involved in drafting and compiling supporting evidence for the Assurance Argument (self-study).  In addition to the self-study, five peer reviewers considered evidence from a student opinion survey, federal compliance report, multi-campus reports, and more than 20 group interviews conducted across all three NSU campuses and online. More information about the comprehensive visit can be viewed here.

The HLC Mark of Affiliation can be viewed on NSU's Homepage.
